That you don’t need to say yes to everything. In your first semester, it feels like everyone is doing 10 clubs, 5 side projects, and somehow still getting 8 hours of sleep. That’s a lie. It’s better to go deep on 1–2 things you care about than to spread yourself thin trying to keep up with some imaginary “ideal student.” Focus on learning how you work best—and give yourself permission to not be perfect.
